WILMERDING LIONS CLUB was sponsored by the Wilkinsburg Lions Club, and received its Charter from District Governor Dr. Arthur S. Haines of that Club. 

The first president was J. M. Pollock, and the first Secretary was R. R. Scott.  Charter member Lion Lester Carver was active in the Club  after 56 years in 1985.  The Charter was presented to our Club on March 28, 1929. 

The peak membership of the Club was in 1951, when it reached 76.  Lions J. M. Pollock, Rev. O. E. Washburn, J. McCrumb, and Theodore Zajdel have served on District Cabinets.
