WHITE OAK LIONS CLUB was sponsored by the McKeesport Lions Club.  It received its Charter from District Governor Robert H. Chambers, of McMurray, on May 1, 1950. 

The first President was Lion Harry M. Sellers, and the first Secretary was Lion Glenn L. Spencer.  Secretary for many years was Lion James Milton Baker, a true conservative, who did a lot to build the Club. 

Lion Parker W. Reed served as District Governor in 1962-63, and was Chairman of the State Convention in Pittsburgh in 1966.  Lion Joseph S. Wills was District Governor in the year 1976-77, Lion Sylvan W. Lang was District Governor in 1995-1996 and 1998-1999 and Lion Richard Richard D. Keller was District Governor in 2004-2005.
