Since 1917, LIONS have Served their communites locally and worldwide. You can also be a Lion and help your community in worthwhile projects along with supporting the Blind and Hearing-Impaired an those less fortunate.

OAKMONT LIONS CLUB was sponsored by the Wilkinsburg Lions Club, received its Charter on July 15, 1940 from District Governor James O. Courtney of Somerset. 

Lion Charles L. Gordon was the first President and Lion W. Reed Bossert was the first Secretary.  Members who have served on District Cabinets include Lions J. L. Tomlinson, Ray Ferraro, and Donald G. Bermont. 

For many years this Club staged a musical show each year, and the major project was Riverside Park, primarily a Lions endeavor. 

The Fox Chapel Area and Blawnox-O’Hara Lions Club were sponsored by the Oakmont Club.
