Hilltop Lion Dan Price discussses membership ideas with PDG Mike Vudragoich

At our October meeting we also had a special guest from across the pond!  Pittsburgh Hill Top Lion President Kevin Gaughan greets visiting fellow Lion John Awcock from the Harrow and Pinner Lions Club which is located 12 miles northwest of London.  We had a wonderful exchange of ideas with regard to charity events, fund raising and membership.  Lion Awcock was very proud of his clubs achievements, and I think all of us that were present were impressed.  We thank him for taking time to visit with us while he was in Pittsburgh.

Lions have a group picture taken with visiting Lion Awcock and we exchanged friendship banners from left to right are: Herbert Mueller, Harrow Lion Awcock, Richard Goodall, William Heckman, Dan Price Jr., Kevin Gaughan, Joseph Setticase and Keith Winter.

CLOSE UP OF BANNERS:
Lion Awcock presented us with the Harrow and Pinner banner from his club. We did not send him back to England empty handed.  Thanks to Bill Heckman and Mike we were able to present him with a Hilltop vest and hat, the Pennsylvania District 14-B banner along with District Governor Dennis McCarthy pin and of course the District 14-B Helen Keller pin.  While Lion Awcock was in town he visited the Grandview club as well as our club.  I think we did a good job showing him just how friendly and down to earth the Lions of Western PA are.  We wish him and his club (our friends across the Pond) the best of success in the future.
