Additionally, for the past 15 years, we all get together Christmas week and make fruit baskets filled with different fruits and candies for shut ins. Then our Christmas baskets are delivered by Arlington and Carrick Meals on Wheels.
Hill Top Lions voted to move forward with the idea of offering for the first time a Lion College Scholarship (amount not yet determined) at one of our neighborhood high schools. The principal will pick the finalist, and then our club will choose the winner from an essay on what it means to become a Lion or "Leo", serve your community and why it is important for young people to become civic minded, involved in community organizations and how society as a whole would benefit in the future from such service?

We also want people to know that this invitation is just not open to business owners. We want people who want to make a difference in peoples lives. Many of our members have been involved in other civic organizations and their service to the Lions is yet another extension of the community. The Lions also represent diversity. Of course we invite all peoples of all faiths, of all walks of life, all genders, young and older, what ever vocation. When a Lion extends an offer to join us, it is because we already have an idea of what is in your heart and know you recognize the importance of rendering service to your community. You are being invited to serve in the largest fraternal and humanitarian organization in the world. Our motto is " We Serve" and we would be honored to have you as our newest member.
Kevin Gaughan, President.
