Challenge to Re-Brand Lions Clubs
To make our organization one that is dynamic and relevant to the
twenty-first century. Planning a quality membership development
that focuses on members under the age of 40 and women.
To have well planned signature projects in response to the genuine
needs of our community.
Challenge to Grow with Quality Members
A quality Lions member is a person with integrity and who will
meet the obligations of being a Lion, willingness to devote time
for Lions services and a commitment to serve. A person who
has a socially acceptable demeanor with a willingness to be a
team player and a compatibility with the club culture and shows
empathy for fellow human beings.
Challenge to Develop Quality Leaders for the 21st Century
To develop these leaders we must use modern techniques of
leadership development. This will be done by popularizing
e-learning,
conducting innovative Leadership Institutes and also
expand the pool of skilled instructors.
Challenge to Extend with New Clubs
A strong emphasis will be made in extending new clubs in order
to bring in new blood and fresh ideas to our organization. The
new clubs should preferably have at 25-30% membership below
40 years of age and a good mix of men and women with around
25-30% women.
Challenge to Enhance LCIF
In order to undertake the funding of global projects, it is necessary
to increase the funding of our Foundation. A target to enroll
another 50,000 MJFs and PMJFs in 2007-08.
Challenge to Raise Campaign SightFirst II Funding
To achieve an initial target of US$150 Million and a stretch target
of US$200 Million.
Challenge to Revive and Develop the Leo Development
Each Lions Club is challenged to form their own Leo club, either
school or community based. It is also mandatory that every
sponsoring club pay the annual Leo levy without calling upon the
Leo club to meet this obligation.
Challenge to Expand the Lions Quest Program
The Lions Quest Program is the most acceptable youth development
program in the world.
Challenge to Establish a New Brand Image for Lions Clubs.
To promote our Lions Clubs utilizing modern techniques of public
relations and promotions. Lions clubs should not be the best
kept secret but a philosophy, which much be disseminated to the
public. |
